When you think of a bar you don't often think you need to access it via a subway entrance. Nevertheless if you go to one bar in NYC go here. Best old fashioned and best expresso martinis we have ever had. The service was 2nd to none. Wonderful atmosphere. Great liquor selection and friendly staff. Can't wait to come back!
Came here with friends after watching an off Broadway play. Entrance is a few steps down the 1 train station on corner of 50st and Broadway. The head bartender was very attentive and checked in with us whenever our beverages were running low. The drinks were very delicious and innovative. “Obsession” was my favorite from tonight. Overall I had a really great time and am planning to return with more friends!
Hidden cocktail bar on the way to the subway entrance. We went after a Broadway show and there wasn’t any signage (like in the photo posted which was taken when we were leaving) so it wasn’t easy to find (lol, thats why its hidden). The place was packed and there was a line when we arrived. Luckily the host was good at his job and was able to move people in quickly. We got a table off to the side in a small intimate room. It was close and cozy with your neighbors but thats kind of the atmosphere. In the main area was standing mostly at high tops and a few seats scattered about. Large bar. Good waitstaff; attentive and friendly (and busy). Enjoyed a round of drinks and moved on which is what it seemed most of the other patrons did as well.
What a find!! We finally made a point to visit this bar after walking past this place on the way to the train. The cocktails were all delicious with cool presentations. My favorites were “and my my, but ooh ooh, and ain’t no need to panic. The service was prompt and friendly. This place is even better than the speakeasy (La Noxe) under the subway station.
I was on my way to the train & I heard some noise from around the corner of the subway. I walked around the corner & saw a hallway. I walked up the stairs following the narrow hallway, then BOOM I saw a door with a door man standing outside. So I went in, and it was a speakeasy located in the subway. It was so random, but so cool. Get you some great drinks from here. I love the drink Obsessed, it’s amazing.
An amazing hidden find in Midtown - an area not really known for great cocktail bars. Great service and we found all the cocktails exceptional - well balanced with great flavors. I had a Kiss & Tell and it was my kind of drink - smoky with bourbon and fernet. A great option after a show.
Vibes are unmatched. Fun and laid back and no reservation required. Great NA options for my fellow non drinkers!
The house cocktails were delicious. The drink presentation was stellar, and we got to connect with the manager, Chance, the Queen of Operations. She had the coolest vibe in the place. Made the whole experience amazing.
The whole place is located in the subway entrance downstairs. Like someone decided there was a closet not being used so they just put a super cool bar in there. (It’s bigger than a closet)
The atmosphere was so cool and all the people we got to work with were awesome.
HIGHLY recommend this place.
